This viola is by and labeled Stefano Trabucchi, Cremona 2020. Born into a musical family, Stefano Trabucchi enrolled in the School of Lutherie “A. Stradivari” in Cremona, Italy at the age of 14. Upon completion he apprenticed with Marco Nolli, and later opened his own workshop in 1992. His instruments are modeled primarily after Stradivarius and Guarneri, and he has experimented with varnish over the years. He has received commissions from all over the world including from the Royal Thai Princess and the singer Andrea Bocelli. This viola, a copy of the 1672 “Mahler” Stradivarius, is available for trial via shipping or in our showroom.
