Rentals Associate (Part-Time)
Potter Violins, a violin shop dedicated to providing exceptional instruments, accessories, and services to musicians of all levels, is seeking a talented and passionate individual to join our team in Takoma Park, Maryland as a Part-Time Rentals Associate. Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance in selecting and renting violins, violas, cellos, and related accessories based on their needs and preferences.
- Build long-term relationships with clients and teachers to provide a highly personalized experience.
- Assist in maintaining the rental inventory, including ensuring instrument outfits are in a ready-to-go state for customers.
- Coordinate rental agreements, process rental payments, and maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting showroom environment, ensuring that instruments and accessories are properly displayed.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and product knowledge to offer informed recommendations and insights to customers.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory management as needed.
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge and understanding of violins, violas, and cellos; intermediate-advanced playing skills on at least one is a plus.
- Must be able to work Saturdays.
- Experience in sales and customer service, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using computer software and point-of-sale systems, and the ability to operate computer systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.
- Passion for music and a genuine interest in helping players of all levels.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
