This violin is labeled and by Jamie Marie Lazzara, Florence 2005.
Originally from Illinois, Jamie Marie Lazzara moved to Italy at the age of 19 to study art restoration and violin making. After graduating from the violin making school in Cremona, she opened her shop in Florence. Notably, Itzhak Pearlman commissioned a violin based on his Stradivarius and played Lazzara’s instrument at the 2009 inauguration ceremony of President Barack Obama. Jamie continues to build modern and period instruments in her Florence workshop, and her instruments are played by renowned musicians all over the world. This violin is accompanied by a certificate from the maker and is available for trial via shipping or in our showroom.
