Alfredo Primavera was born in 1954 and comes from a family of violin makers. His grandfather Giuseppe founded the House of Primavera in Philadelphia where Alfredo began studying violin making at the age of thirteen with his father Adolfo. In 1972, Alfredo moved to Cremona to study at the International Violin Making School with Pietro Sgarabotto and Gio Batta Morassi. In 1977, Alfredo Primavera opened a workshop in Cremona, Italy. This viola is labeled and by Ada Quaranta, Boves 2019 and its body length measures 16 ⅜”. It is accompanied by a certificate from the maker.
Ada Quaranta studied violin making at the Antonio Stradivari International Violin Making School in Cremona, Italy. From 1992 to 1999, she worked as a restorer for shops including J.F. Schmitt in Lyon, France, and Geigenbau Machold in Bremen, Germany. She worked closely with Roger G. Hargrave in Meyenburg, Germany where she perfected her craft and created reproductions of famous classical Italian instruments. In 2001, Ada returned to Italy and opened her own workshop. This viola is labeled and by Georgeus Foschi, Milan 1982 and its body length measures 16”. It is accompanied by a certificate from the maker.
Giorgio Foschi began his violin making workshop in Carate Brianza, Italy in the 1960s. He has made over 300 instruments in the span of his career, and has won several violin making competitions. This viola is available for trial via shipment or viewing in our showroom.

Ettore Siega studied violin making with Eugenio Degani. His instruments received several awards during his career. This viola is available for trial via shipment or viewing in our showroom.
This viola was made by Giuseppe Arrè in Cremona in 2012.
Arrè studied at the International Violin Making School of Parma where he completed his diploma under the direction of Renato Scrollavezza.
