Daniel Arlig was born in Springfield, Missouri and studied double bass performance at the New England Conservatory before entering Minnesota State College to study string instrument repair. After graduating with honors, he went to North Bennet Street School to study violin making and restoration with Kevin Kelly, David Polstein and Thomas Hummel. Daniel is based in Minnesota where he builds and restores fine stringed instruments.
