Robert Spear came late to the violin making profession, having started his career as a bassist and later a high school orchestra director. Robert started studying repairwork on school instruments for his students. After leaving public school work, he continued to increase his repair skills. Robert and his wife Deena, also a luthier, live in Ithaca, NY where Robert runs Singing Woods Violin Shop. This cello is available for trial via shipment or viewing in our showroom.
