Christopher Jacoby is a violinmaker. After attending the Violin Making School of America, he started his training doing restoration under Peter Prier next door. There, and in museums and collections the next twenty years, he has handled and studied the instruments of the great masters. Christopher has built instruments for discerning professionals around the world, and continues to do so while heading the workshop at Potter Violins.

Exciting news! After more than two decades of incredibly loyal and dedicated service to Potter Violins, Jim Kelly has made the decision to devote his attention full-time to the National Philharmonic.
There is no way to fully convey my appreciation for the incredible loyalty that Jim has shown me and this company over the years. The level of sacrifice of both time and effort that Jim has given over these past two decades is truly breathtaking.
I want to publicly thank you Jim for the friendship and professional courtesy you have shown me over the years. I am so grateful to you and know that I will still be depending upon you for advice and support, and your sense of optimism and humor.
I know that Jim shares my profound conviction that the work we do changes lives. His efforts with the National Philharmonic will be bringing beauty to new communities and generations, and I applaud him, and wish him well in this new venture. Making a difference is what Jim does best.
